Discovery is the first step when developing a brand and will lay the ground work for your marketing direction. This is a fun and creative process, it is exciting to see your vision begin to come to life! This phase includes 2 parts:

1. We discuss the vision for your brand by working through my custom questionnaire. During this online or in person consultation, I learn more about your company, products, services, and general business model. We will distinguish who your target market is and what we want to communicate to them. I will also gain clarity on your company goals. Answering my questionnaire together will give me insight for your brand’s future positioning, personality, and strategy.

2. I go to work independently completing research about your market and competitors. During this time, I also research and perform an audit of your current online presence. I then layout the first draft of your marketing strategy.

After our initial consultation, I begin designing your logo and will send you 3-4 visual mock-ups. These mock-ups will be in different color variations and applied to mock-products to give you an idea of how they would look in reality. I will edit your logo until it looks just right. Your logo will be delivered in a file bundle with several sizes, styles, and file types for your use.

A color palette is the full range of colors chosen to represent a brand’s identity. Choosing your color palette is one of the most exciting parts of brand development! A brand usually consists of 1-3 primary colors, 1-6 secondary colors, 1-3 accent/highlight colors, and black and white. The colors we pick will create the tone for your brand and further reinforce your brand’s personality and messaging. Your color palette is meant to create depth and attract your desired demographic while building brand awareness and recognition.

Typography are the fonts used within a brand’s visual guidelines. Brand fonts include, but are not limited to, primary font, secondary font, and a web safe font. The size, weight, and styles are all elements I will consider when designing your brand’s typography. When choosing your fonts, I will choose ones that are descriptive of your brand’s voice and resonate positively with your audience. Different typography options will be sent over on mood-board designs as well.

Brand messaging is the language used in your content including catchy slogans, taglines, and brand summary and mission statements. Your company’s questionnaire will help me distinguish who your target market is, what your brand wants to communicate to them, and how. Messaging should be memorable, direct, and motivate your audience to use your product or service. I will include possible company messaging in different font options on the mood-boards I send for your review and final approval.

To further develop your brand’s personality and messaging, I will supply your brand with 8 stock images and 2 patterns. Your brand’s aesthetics will begin to form within these images. The graphics will be descriptive of your business, connect with your target audience, and stay within your color palette. These images can be used for your website and / or print and digital media.

Part of the New Brand Design package includes a company’s official Brand Guideline Book. This book sets distinctive guidelines for maintaining cohesive branding across all aspects of your business. It can be used to train future employees on company practices, brainstorming new marketing ideas, or branding frame of reference when conducting day to day work.

The final phase of the New Brand Design package is taking all the information from the previous phases and laying out an effective marketing strategy that is cost effective. This plan will give you direction on where to take your brand, designed to help your company grow and increase market share. I will distinguish where you want to put your marketing efforts and which channels will be most beneficial. This strategy will help you stand out in a noisy market. You will have a clear path forward for growth and innovation. I will use a mixture of different marketing channels to deliver your message to your preferred audience. I will also offer expert guidance on how the company can optimize the return on their marketing campaigns.
